My name is Inés and I study with the Open University (Milton Keynes) in full-time. My aim is a BSc (hons) Mathematics and I am specially interested in pure maths. I decided to write this blog in English, because I hope to improve my written English and of course, I am studying at a British university, so why should I write in German?

Perhaps, because I am German, living in Germany. I study with the Open University, because the course material and the tutoring is better than at the Fernuni Hagen. Also, I like the challenge of studying in a language other than my mother tongue.

Besides my studies I volunteer for OUSA, the students association at the Open University. Recently I chair the Hamburg branch and also I represent the Continential European students in two committees within the Open University.
